Cockroaches
Did you know a cockroach can hold its breath for 40 minutes; or that cockroaches can survive being submerged under water for half an hour? And, did you know they can run up to three miles in one hour, and even live for a week without their heads? These are formidable foes. But, Bristol’s Pest is fully equipped to help you get rid of cockroaches and their infestations.
Treatment
- Baiting systems and/or growth inhibitors and liquid pesticides are used more specifically to control cockroach infestations. Different types of baiting systems are used at different phases of the infestations. Baits are effective because their active ingredients remain in the bodies of the cockroaches, who ingest them. When these cockroaches return to their colonies and die, their carcasses, are fed on by other roaches, who also ingest the ingredients and also die.
- Growth Inhibitors like Gentrol are used to cripple the growth of cockroaches, which eventually kills them. These are also used to increase the cockroaches’ craving for the attractants in baits used to kill them.
- Liquid pesticides are also impactful in killing and controlling cockroach population. This treatment usually carries a 90-day residual capacity, which usually results in the visible emergence of dead insects in and around your property.
